Scott is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University and has served in the hospitality industry for over 30 years. In 2010 he earned his Certified Balloon Artist designation in Athens, Georgia and approached the event decor industry full force. He brings a vast knowledge of mechanics and design, enabling him to build and install decor that seems to magically appear. In February of 2015 Scott was asked to join two competition teams, one from Ireland and the other from Atlanta, Georgia, both teams placed with their winning designs.
Scott loves to play golf, watch sports and spend time cooking for his family, his signature dish is mac and cheese.

Scott Shortreed, CBA
Since 1997 Charleston Balloon Company's owners, Jill and Scott Shortreed have been designing exceptional balloon and event decor for celebrities, weddings, social, civic and corporate events.
What started as a hard to get romance and a part-time event business in New Jersey soon flourished into a marriage and full-time retail party store and event company. Their success has led them to decorate events at the Stone Pony for Bruce Springsteen, The Fray, Google, Political Events for Senators and Congressmen along with hundreds of private and corporate parties.
After visiting the Charleston area, the Shortreed's decided to bring their talent south and began decorating the Southeast where they relocated with their family in 2004.
